About Rating Ledger
Rating Ledger is an independent reference site. It is not part of the Department of Veterans Affairs, is not a claims service and does not represent anyone before VA. It shows the published VA math and rate tables so that a rating decision or a draft claim can be checked line by line.
How the site works
The combining rules come from 38 CFR 4.25 and 4.26 and the condition criteria from the VA Schedule for Rating Disabilities (38 CFR part 4), read on eCFR. Pay comes from VA's published compensation rate tables, effective December 1, 2025. Every figure is stored with its source and the date it was checked, and the calculator is tested against the worked examples VA and the regulation publish. Details are on the methodology page.
What the site does not do
Rating Ledger does not file claims, give legal advice, take payment for claim help or refer veterans to paid claim services. Free help from a VA-accredited Veterans Service Organization representative is shown on every page, before anything else.
Corrections
If a figure is wrong or a source has changed, email hello@ratingledger.com with the page and a link. Corrections go into the data file and the check date updates with the next build.
